Come and join my journey on PatreonSo many of you were supportive, receptive and generous enough to allow me to achieve many of my goals in recent years, by enabling me to return to playing Live Music again, and launching
"The Art Of Darkness". Further to this you helped me to create a "Living Archive" on behalf of the National Film and Sound Archives, which became www.louistillettmusic.com After some time it was decided that it was necessary for me to set up the SHOP to facilitate future recordings and to work in conjunction with other platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and others where all of my back catalog has now been made available. This next phase of my personal and musical journey requires for me to apply myself wholly and solely to the purpose of creating NEW MUSIC And having been granted the reward and responsibility of commanding a genuine sea-going vessel, I am now called to return to the place I love most... the Ocean which has long been the place I have derived the most inspiration from. Now that my Music is available widely and freely to anyone who seeks it out, I am able to free myself and embark on a journey, both physically, and metaphorically, over the horizon. And I would like to invite you to join me. Everyone who becomes a PATRON will have exclusive access to everything to be shared on this voyage. This means Poetry, Journals, Video Journals, Music sketches, Film Footage and any other material that forms a part of the storytelling. Varying rewards are offered for higher contributions. But at the end of this journey, you will all be credited with the resulting creative works such as an album, a doco, an audiobook, a written book, or anything else that is born. Most importantly I hope that this story can inspire us all. Remember - it was only 3 years or so ago that I was destitute and living in a Van. Now, all things seem possible, thanks to your support, I feel duty-bound to share this coming artistic endeavour with you, as the story unfolds. The Live Interview that took place in Melbourne (Australia) on 3RRR 19/7/18 at 9PM, will be posted on The Vault Page next week. Thanks to Neil Rogers of "The Australian Mood" show for a great interview. Stay tuned folks.

Louis Tillett is a brilliant musician, a great band leader and a total wildcard. In this classic music documentary the legendary Australian singer-songwriter and keyboardist embarks on an extraordinary concert at the Basement in Sydney and discusses his creative process and episodic mental illness. Featuring performances and candid interviews with collaborators Penny Ikinger, Charlie Owens, Dianne Spence and Don Walker, and interviews with brother John and sister Nina. Surprisingly, Louis is an accomplished sailor, and one evening on the liquid black of Sydney Harbour he confides the connection between the swell of the elemental sea and his own psychological journeys. Louis Tillett is a musician's musician, highly respected yet finding mainstream success elusive, perhaps in part because he paints his own troubles in music.
"He always wears his heart on his sleeve and all the dirty washing comes out" Penny Ikinger Band: Louis Tillett (vocals and piano), Charlie Owens (guitar), Penny Ikinger (guitar), Jim Dickson (bass), Nick Fisher (drums), Don Walker (Hammond organ), Dianne Spence (saxophone), Stewart ... (trumpet), Anthony Kable (trombone). Stage lighting: Damien Oxley, sound engineering: Chris Mysinski, live music recording: John Bell. Song list: Sailor's dream, Hold Me, Ancient Song, The Tempest, Life Raft. Producer: Lisa Nicol. Directors: Lisa Nicol, Anna Craney, Mark Mordue, Carolyn Constantine. Your purchase helps fund the production and distribution of this documentary - many thanks. © Round the Outside Productions 2000 3/7/2018 0 Comments July Sale |
