Radio
John Peel (BBC) noticed Louis, from the beginning, with his EP track from No Dance, "Swimming in The Mirror". He subsequently played all of his early albums, which helped to cement Louis' reputation as a unique artist worthy of the attention of the listening public, and critics alike throughout the 80s and 90s." ALTHOUGH THE OUTLETS FOR SELF-PUBLISHING HAVE GROWN IN RECENT YEARS, THE ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE OF THE TRAINED EYES AND EARS OF THE ESTABLISHED MEDIA, WHETHER THAT BE AMATEUR OR PROFESSIONAL, CANNOT BE UNDERESTIMATED, FOR THEIR ABILITY TO SHINE A LIGHT ON THAT WHICH, AT TIMES, WE CANNOT RECOGNISE, OR REALISE OURSELVES, IN TERMS OF ARTS AND CULTURE (AND SCIENCE AND POLITICS, ETC). AND I, FOR ONE, WOULD BE NOWHERE, WITHOUT THEM, NOR WOULD ANYONE KNOW MY MUSIC EVEN EXISTED! LOUIS TILLETT

The 11 Part Series
2BOB Interviews
This Radio Series is being presented in the order in which it was
produced, recorded, and broadcast by Irene Barrett,
at 2BOB Community Radio, over 11 consecutive weeks.
She created an environment for me to speak freely about
my personal life, my life in music, about each of my albums in turn,
and to play a couple of songs from each, including the 3 Return To Sender albums.
This culminated in a Preview presentation of

The Globe ΗΧΩ Fm I have always enjoyed the support of, and have in turn supported Community Radio Stations, and have also enjoyed a longstanding relationship with such wonderful personalities as Tim Ritchie,Tracey Hutchison, Maynard F Sharp Crabbes, and Gayle Austin, to name a few, from ABC, Double J and JJJ radio. Other key community radio figures are Neil Rogers of 3RRR FM - "The Australian Mood Show", Jack Shit of 2FBI, and various presenters from BBB, Eastside radio, and I could go on. Australian listeners will be familiar with these names, and the music of the time. And global audiences may already know of, and will certainly hear more of Gayle Austin, from her "Curvy Radio" show, which is podcast on behalf of 2SER. I will be creating links here in future for her show, and other select commentators and writers, based on their experience and understanding of the cultural history and ongoing importance of an Australian Underground Music landscape. And I will of course share any other interviews found, here, in The Vault. LOUIS TILLETT |

Internet Blogs and Fanzines
We really do live in amazing times. Independent publishing and broadcasting is easier than ever.
And it's democratic, because everyone can decide for themselves what they want to tune into, so to speak.
I have found a few faithful blogs and sites that have supported me over the years.
I will be posting links here, for those that have a special interest in my music.
Often they share reviews, and even downloads.
And I am happy to see it continue, in the tradition of mix tapes and bootlegs, of old.
And I will be able to furnish them all with more material by alerting them to this new HUB.
