"A Night At Sea" - Video on Demand

The Documentary - now available to Stream

Louis Tillett is a brilliant musician, a great band leader and a total wildcard. In this classic music documentary the legendary Australian singer-songwriter and keyboardist embarks on an extraordinary concert at the Basement in Sydney and discusses his creative process and episodic mental illness. Featuring performances and candid interviews with collaborators Penny Ikinger, Charlie Owens, Dianne Spence and Don Walker, and interviews with brother John and sister Nina. Surprisingly, Louis is an accomplished sailor, and one evening on the liquid black of Sydney Harbour he confides the connection between the swell of the elemental sea and his own psychological journeys. Louis Tillett is a musician's musician, highly respected yet finding mainstream success elusive, perhaps in part because he paints his own troubles in music.
"He always wears his heart on his sleeve and all the dirty washing comes out" Penny Ikinger
Band: Louis Tillett (vocals and piano), Charlie Owens (guitar), Penny Ikinger (guitar), Jim Dickson (bass), Nick Fisher (drums), Don Walker (Hammond organ), Dianne Spence (saxophone), Stewart ... (trumpet), Anthony Kable (trombone). Stage lighting: Damien Oxley, sound engineering: Chris Mysinski, live music recording: John Bell.
Song list: Sailor's dream, Hold Me, Ancient Song, The Tempest, Life Raft.
Producer: Lisa Nicol. Directors: Lisa Nicol, Anna Craney, Mark Mordue, Carolyn Constantine.
Your purchase helps fund the production and distribution of this documentary - many thanks.

Wet Taxis 3PBS Live Recording

Rare Recording available

It has just come to my attention that the much sought after recording of Wet Taxis at 3PBS back in the day
is in my possession and anyone who has already donated to gofundme, or intends to donate, can have a Digital listening copy in whichever format suits them best (MP3, M4A or FLAC).

Tell your friends. I have had a lot of enquiries and even an offer from a label to put it out.
But I think now is the time to make it available exclusively to my Patrons (whether on Patreon or gofundme).

All donations are eligible for unlimited downloads of my Music - but this is something "New".

Go here:
https://www.patreon.com/LouisTheTillett

Or here:
https://www.gofundme.com/Album-Book-Gigs

To donate in exchange for the 3PBS Recording, and/or any other recordings.

Feel free to spread the word.

Kind regards, Louis

All Digital Albums now in MP3 and M4A

All Music Download Files are now compatible with Android AND iPhone

You don't need to be Tech savvy.

You only need to know that when your purchase a Digital Album,
you will now be able to download all individual tracks (to enable shuffle playing)
instead of just one file. AND you will have the choice of MP3s and M4As.

MP3s - great for Desktop, and Android players.
M4As are the standard iPod, iPad and iPhone playable files.

And because you can have unlimited downloads with your purchase, without expiry..you can even download tracks, at any time. in any format, just in case you change from Android to Apple or Vice Versa.

NOTE:
We will also be uploading FLAC files at a later date for a CD quality sound.
But, unless you are listening to great speakers (not through a mobile device with headphones)
you won't notice the difference. Most people don't want these larger files, but we will introduce them later,
for those that prefer to download them onto their Desktop PCs to listen at home.

We've made these changes thanks to your feedback.
And your feedback is welcome at any time.

Thanks! LT and BM

Ship Of Dreams

The Story Shall be Told....not by land, but by sea....

"Forthwith this frame of mind was wrenched,
With a woeful agony,
Which forced me to begin my tale;
And then it left me free"
Picture
Like a Captain drawing an arc on a map, I have navigated through an amazing journey with you all in the the past few years. But the epic journey I am about to undertake will require more serious and careful planning, and your support, as I sail the high seas.I am now seeking a virtual crew to join me as I explore these unchartered waters...and document the entire experience, to be shared exclusively with my Patrons, with new works to be published at a later date with the rest of the world. In the meantime, I leave you all with my music, on the websites, and soon, across all platforms. I welcome my new Patrons.
All comers will be met with a video of an old sea dog... I ask Rachael not to video me.. but she persists...and we discuss the benefits of boat life... how the stress melts away, the creative mind comes alive, the dappled sun brings a dreamy state upon us all. It's the "before" video. And I invite you all to come on board...and help me complete this real-time, real life documentary - about creating music, prose, poetry and film at sea.

Buy the 8 Original albums plus the Retrospective

The Shop has arrived

As of today, the 8 Original Solo albums and the Retrospective are available for sale for $8 AUD. Also great news is that not only is the website proving to be mobile friendly, but all payment options are now available...Apple Pay, Google/Android Pay, Paypal and Stripe. All covered. All secure.

And there is a simple checkout system if you want to buy more than 1 album at a time. Until such time as another platform partner is involved, I have kept the price very reasonable...as it probably works out to be only a few Euro or about $5 USD.

Anyway..the BEST news for me is I have finally reached the goal of having everything available for SALE under one roof. No more finding out that people can't find the music, even with New Releases. It's all here. And it's available NOW!
